1) What we collect

We collect account data (such as email and Google account identifier), usage data needed to deliver the service, payment event metadata from Stripe, support communications, and content you choose to submit. Submitted content can include prompts, story bibles, and DOCX or PDF manuscripts uploaded to build an Author Voice profile.

2) How we use data

We use data to authenticate your account, provide book-generation features, process billing, prevent abuse, send transactional messages, and improve product quality. When you request Author Voice analysis, we extract style characteristics and verbatim exemplar passages from your samples solely to build and apply your selected voice profile.

To improve generation quality, completed books may be reviewed by an automated quality-audit system after a short delay. The review can compare the generated artifacts with the settings and prompt you supplied, your optional star rating and feedback, and limited product events such as downloads, repeat generations, purchases, deletion, or cancellation. Audit processing uses pseudonymous identifiers. Raw artifacts are handled temporarily; durable audit records contain quality scores, normalized defect categories, and aggregate outcome facts rather than manuscript text or quoted feedback. Per-book audit records are retained for no more than 180 days. Account deletion sends a pseudonymous erasure marker to the audit system so matching per-book records are removed sooner.

When you ask for support, report a quality problem, or authorize a specific investigation, authorized support and engineering operators may inspect the complete relevant manuscript, story bible, analysis, and related private artifacts. Raw-artifact access requires a case-specific reason and is logged with the operator, artifact type, job, and time. Working copies are limited to the investigation and are not placed in public issues, source-code commits, or general analytics.

3) Email communications

By using Google Sign-In, you accept our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. Transactional emails may include account notifications, product updates, billing messages, and usage reminders.

4) Sharing and processors

We use service providers to operate the platform, including Google for authentication and Stripe for payments. Private user artifacts are stored with Amazon Web Services, and submitted text is processed by third-party AI inference providers as needed to provide generation and analysis features. We do not sell personal data.

5) Data retention and security

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Author Voice samples and exemplars remain associated with the selected profile until you delete the source file or profile, or request account deletion. Deleting a source file does not automatically delete the compact style profile already derived from it; deleting the profile removes its stored samples and exemplars. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data.
